It’s not every day that we get a “holy cow!” massive Dark Pool print, so when it happens, I get pretty excited! The reason I get so excited is that there’s a high probability that a very big move is about to happen, and this move could be very profitable if you’re on the right side of the trade. We spotted this massive print a few weeks ago during my afternoon meeting in the Java pit trading room. The Dark Pool was entering the bond Sector, to be specific, the iShares 20+ Year

Treasury Bond $TLT. Below is the trade from my Prolivevol software:

Strangling is a great way to capture a massive move when we don’t know if the Dark Pool is buying or selling. If we put this strangle on and went on vacation doing nothing, we would have ended up making 1100% ROI on our 43 calls and lost .25 on our 134 puts. Not bad right?

I always tell my traders to add to the “right side” once we are sure of direction. This increases our profit potential. I took 7 additional directional trades on $TLT after this initial strangle. I am still currently long. I shared all my trades in my live trading room, The Java Pit, as well as highlights in my Dark Pool Insights subscription. If you missed this trade, don’t worry, there will be plenty more trades like this this year. We just must follow the massive “Holy cow!” prints and be patient.
